  • SCSIN - 006 - Clinical psychology (60 hours)

    Clinical psychology is the psychological specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive mental and behavioural health care for individuals and families; consultation to agencies and communities; training, education and supervision; and research-based practice. It is a specialty in breadth — one that is broadly inclusive of severe psychopathology — and marked by comprehensiveness and integration of knowledge and skill from a broad array of disciplines within and outside of psychology proper.

    Internship includes counselling process and counselling interview process differentiating between theory and practical aspects

  • SCSIN - 008 - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (30 hours)

    Internship includes essential psychotherapy/theory and Practical CBT Skills.

  • SCSIN - 010 - Sports psychology (60 hours)

    Sport psychology is a proficiency that uses psychological knowledge and skills to address optimal performance and well-being of athletes, developmental and social aspects of sports participation, and systemic issues associated with sports settings and organizations.

  • SCSIN - 011 - Child psychology (60 hours)

    Child psychology is a branch of psychology. Under which the behavior of children and their inner minds are observed. It is the study of subconscious and conscious childhood development and observe how a child interacts with their parents, themselves, and the world, to understand their mental development.

  • SCSIN - 012 - Psychoanalysis (60 hours)

    Psychoanalysis is defined as a set of psychological theories and therapeutic methods which have their origin in the work and theories of Sigmund Freud. Psychoanalysis deals unconscious thoughts, feelings, desires, and memories

  • SCSIN - 013 - Cognitive psychology (60 hours)

    Cognitive psychology is the study science of how we think. It’s concerned with inner mental processes such as attention, perception, memory, action planning, and language. Each of these components are pivotal in forming who we are and how we behave.

    The thoughts related to these concepts can be conscious or nonconsciousness – we might consciously make an effort to focus our attention on a lecture for example, but the light flickering in the room could trigger a nonconsciousness shift elsewhere.

  • SCSIN - 014 - Social psychology (60 hours)

    Social psychology uses scientific methods “to understand and explain how the thoughts, feelings, and behaviour of individuals are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied the presence of other human beings.”1 Essentially, social psychology is about understanding how each person’s individual behaviour is influenced by the social environment in which that behaviour takes place.

  • SCSIN - 015 - Psychosynthesis (60 hours)

    Psychosynthesis is a therapeutic approach that focuses on personal growth and development. Practitioners of psychosynthesis believe individuals tend to synthesize various aspects of the self to become more evolved and self-actualized. This method of therapy can be viewed as a transpersonal approach because it integrates many aspects of the human experience, including spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and physical aspects.

  • SCSIN - 016 - Behavioural analysis (60 hours)

    Behaviour analysis is a science based on the philosophical principles of behaviourism. The key point of behaviourism is that what people do can be understood.

  • SCSIN - 017 - Marriage and family therapy (30 hours)

    Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) is a form of psychotherapy that addresses the behaviours of all family members and the way these behaviours affect not only individual family members, but also relationships between family members and the family unit as a whole. As such, treatment is usually divided between time spent on individual therapy and time spent on couple therapy, family therapy, or both, if necessary. MFT may also be referred to as couple and family therapy, couple counselling, marriage counselling, or family counselling

  • SCSIN - 018 - Industry and organizational psychology (60 hours)

    Industrial-organizational psychology (also called I/O psychology) is characterized by the scientific study of human behavior in organizations and the work place. The specialty focuses on deriving principles of individual, group and organizational behavior and applying this knowledge to the solution of problems at work

  • SCSIN - 019 - Rehabilitation psychology (60 hours)

    Rehabilitation psychology is the study and application of psychological principles on behalf of persons who have disability due to injury or illness. Rehabilitation psychologists, often within teams, assess and treat cognitive, emotional, and functional difficulties, and help people to overcome barriers to participation in life activities. Rehabilitation psychologists are involved in practice, research, and advocacy, with the broad goal of fostering independence and opportunity for people with disabilities.

    Health psychology, also called medical psychology or behavioural medicine, is a branch of psychology focusing on how biological, social, and psychological factors impact health and well-being
